BECOMING A MEMBER

Criteria:

Membership is open to any person practicing arbitration, mediation or alternate dispute resolution who is of good character and reputation and satisfies the Membership Committee that he or she has obtained and maintained standards of academic achievement and professional experience consistent with the aims and objectives of the ADR Atlantic Institute.

Categories

Member:

Persons of good character and reputation who have successfully completed an Institute-approved 40-hour course in arbitration or mediation or have equivalent expertise arising from experience in arbitration, mediation or alternate dispute resolution in Canada.

Student:

Persons of good character and reputation who are enrolled in full-time studies (e.g. B.A., LL.B., Ph.D.). [Student category under review 2019, not available currently]

Please Note: Your Application cannot be processed until payment is received.

Your application will be reviewed and you will be informed of your membership status as soon as possible.

The information in your application will be used for the sole purpose of assessing your qualifications for membership.

If accepted as a Full member, your "basic information", Biography and resume, will be listed on our web site for your public profile on our "ADR CONNECT" searchable directory of practitioners.  If there are certain fields you wish to exclude from your ADR CONNECT profile, you may so indicate in your account under Communication Preferences.  Your e-mail and mailing address will be used to send you information such as newsletters and event notices. You may unsubscribe at any time from certain emails via your Communication Preferences tab.

The membership year is January 1^st to December 31^st.

If you are applying for membership part way through the calendar year, membership fees are prorated quarterly.
